Education:
An Agronomical Engineer graduated from Zamorano in 1990, José Mauricio Huete specializes in horticultural production, having obtained a Master's degree in 2018 from the University of Almería, Spain. His thesis focused on inducing greater flowering and production of Tahiti lime in Honduras, showcasing his passion and commitment to advancing in the field of tropical agronomy and fruit cultivation.

*Professional Experience:*
From 2011 to 2020, he served as the Head of the Fruit Unit and Professor of Fruit Culture at Zamorano, where he was not only responsible for the production of fruit orchards but also for budget preparation and execution. Since 2018, Huete has expanded his impact as a fruit consultant, working in countries such as Peru, Honduras, and Nicaragua, with projects including banana, Tahiti lime, and mangoes, all aimed at agro-exportation. His experience also encompasses technical evaluation for Banco BAC in mango projects in Honduras during 2019 and consultancy in guava production since 2015, managing 100 hectares in Nicaragua. Since 2005, he has been conducting diagnostics and evaluations on approximately 4500 hectares of citrus farms for Frutan and Ticofruit, demonstrating extensive experience and knowledge in the sector.

José Mauricio Huete has contributed to the field of agronomy with the publication of manuals on banana production (2002), cashew nut (2009), and mango (2008), reflecting his commitment to education and knowledge transfer in his specialty.
